Today, I stepped outside my comfort zone, but I know that publicly sharing is the best way for me to stay accountable. I shared this challenge with my Instagram community, and the response was truly overwhelming. Over the years, I've learned that even when it feels uncomfortable, putting yourself and your story out there is the fastest route to genuine human connection. Humans need humans, period. When we hear that someone else is going through something, our natural instinct is to offer empathy and relate. The messages I received in my inbox made my heart swell – we are truly not alone in our feelings. To everyone joining me on this challenge, I welcome you with open arms 🤎
I also made some choices today that felt really good for me. I skipped my early yoga class because I'm tracking my sleep and my morning readiness score clearly showed I wasn't ready for an intense session. Instead, I tried something new – Alterme App– and did a 20-minute guided dance class. I absolutely loved it! It got me moving and was the perfect way to kick off a busy day. Later, I used the same app for some breathwork in between meetings, which was a great reset. I never thought I'd be the person letting my phone boss me around, but it's happening – and I'm not mad about it (at least, not when it's good for me!). To end the day, I had a blast playing hoops at an arcade with my soon-to-be 13-year-old daughter and her friends. So much fun! Being at Wonderland brought back childhood memories, and in the middle of all the sweaty laughter, I found myself wondering, "Why do we ever stop playing?"
