What's in MAHSA CHAI®?

Our caffeine-free blend contains 12 pure ingredients and nothing else.

Red Rooibos, Cacao, Chaga Mushroom, Ashwagandha, Maca, Turmeric, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves, Ginger, Cayenne Pepper, and Himalayan Salt.

No calories, sweeteners, fillers, or preservatives.

Is MAHSA CHAI® a coffee alternative?

Yes. MAHSA CHAI® was created as a caffeine-free coffee alternative for people who love the ritual, warmth, and depth of coffee but want something gentler on the nervous system and gut.

It’s made with functional ingredients like espresso-grade rooibos tea, chaga mushroom, cacao, maca root, and organic spices. These ingredients are commonly found in mushroom coffees and functional lattes, but MAHSA CHAI® is designed to feel more grounding and nourishing, without jitters or crashes.

Many customers come to MAHSA CHAI® from mushroom coffee and tell us they prefer both how it makes them feel and how it tastes. The spice-forward chai base creates a fuller, more balanced cup that’s less earthy, less bitter, and more satisfying as a daily ritual.

We believe coffee alternatives shouldn’t feel like a compromise. MAHSA CHAI® delivers ease, nourishment, and comfort without the side effects often associated with caffeine.

Are your ingredients organic?

We source our Red Rooibos directly from farmers in South Africa who use sustainable, organic practices and do not use herbicides, pesticides, or irrigation.

Their primary farm was awarded the highest biodiversity rating in the Rooibos industry for farming as close to nature as possible. All our spices and adaptogens are certified organic and fair trade certified.

How do I prepare MAHSA CHAI®?

What's the sediment I sometimes find at the bottom of my cup?

We call it “liquid gold” and recommend you embrace the grit and drink it up. It’s fiber-rich, coming mostly from the cinnamon and chaga mushroom of our 12-ingredient pure blend. Fiber contributes to satiety, aids in regularity, and supports a healthy immune system.

But if texture just isn’t your thing, you can add a bit more water before finishing or skip the "liquid gold" all together. Like all things MAHSA Chai, drink it the way you like it.

What are some additional ways to use MAHSA CHAI®?

What's the shelf life of MAHSA CHAI®?

Our powder is shelf-stable without refrigeration. When stored in a cool, dry location, it maintains fresh potency for 6-9 months.

How does MAHSA CHAI® taste?

People describe the flavor of our premium dissolvable blend as well-balanced, delicious, bold, robust, layered, and warming with a hint of sweetness and subtle spicy kick. 

In addition to premium Red Rooibos and organic spices, our blend also includes adaptogens (e.g., maca and chaga mushroom) which are more or less flavorless to most people's palates, yet these adaptogens contribute satisfying, filling fiber and functional health benefits. 

Can I drink MAHSA CHAI® at night or will it keep me awake?

Customers tell us they enjoy drinking MAHSA as a pick-me-up, wind-me-down, and centering-in-between. MAHSA CHAI really is chai for every mood. 

Perhaps because of the adaptogen ingredients, our blend seems to meet most people where they are. Members of our family, even young children, drink MAHSA CHAI as part of their bedtime ritual and many customers share that they routinely drink MAHSA CHAI morning, mid-day, and night.

That said, everyone’s body is unique. Adaptogens can affect people in different ways. And there is a natural compound in cacao called theobromine which has a mild stimulating effect for some. It’s usually quite slight, but if you're particularly sensitive, it’s something to keep in mind.

How to Manage Your Subscription

If you’re subscribed for automatic deliveries you can:

  • Update your delivery schedule.
  • Skip your next order.
  • Change your shipping address or payment method.
  • Cancel your subscription any time.

Go to your Customer Account page to manage subscriptions.

How do I create an account on this store?

You can create an account two ways:

  1. Before checkout: Click Account → Register / Create account in the site header and follow the steps.
  2. During checkout: When you enter your email at checkout you’ll usually have the option to create an account — just follow the on-screen prompt to finish.

    (Shopify supports two account types: the new customer-accounts flow which uses a one-time code sent to your email, and the classic flow which uses a password.)

I already purchased — how do I sign up for an account now?

No problem. After purchase you can:

  1. Click Account → Register / Create account in the site header and sign up with the same email used for your order. Your past order should then be linked to your new account.
  2. If your account requires activation, check your order confirmation email for an Activate your account or Create your password link and follow it. If you don’t see it, try the password reset.

How do I log in?

Go to Manage Subscription → Log in (or the login link in the header).

  • If the store uses the new Shopify customer accounts, you’ll enter your email and receive a one-time code by email.
  • If it uses the classic (password) account, enter your email and password.

I didn’t get an activation email or I forgot my password — what do I do?

Try these quick steps:

  1. On the Log in page click Forgot password? (or visit /account/login#recover).
  2. Enter the email you used to order and check your inbox for the Customer account password reset email. Click the link inside and set a new password (passwords are 5–40 characters).
  3. If you still don’t get an email, check your spam folder or contact us and we’ll send an account invite or reset it for you from our side.
