Each of us has stories to tell.

Mine begins with a blur of explosions and crisscrossed tape outside. But inside, my mother’s kitchen was a haven where she fed our bodies and souls. We immigrated to the US when I was seven.

Through hardship and upheaval, my parents carried on, continuing to be a force for healing and connection. Our home brimmed with new friends and neighbors gathered to share aromatic food, chai ritual, and conversation.

When the caffeine in traditional chai stopped agreeing with my body, I craved for a replacement without compromising on flavor or wellness.

When nothing on the market satisfied my global palate, I went to work crafting what I craved: bold flavor in my morning cup, an invigorating lift for the afternoon slumps, a comforting reset ritual any time.

Pretty soon, even my coffee-loving friends had to have it. I didn’t set out to start a chai company. But from the very beginning, it’s taken on a community-driven life of its own.
